DoleSonic Woody Series amplifiers are the result of years of seeking that “Special Tone” and are meticulously crafted by Ken Doles, a guitarist who has been in the music industry for over 40 years.

Growing weary of the 'same old same old,' DoleSonic has created a boutique style, hand wired, all tube genuine Class A tube amp with a sound that rivals both the old and new. Housed in hand-built wooden cabinets, these striking amplifiers look and sound fantastic at home or in a club. Even though these are considered low power tube amps, they pack an amazing punch and won’t break your back or budget.

Our cabinets are constructed of hand selected Pine, then finger jointed for extra strength, glued, and inside bracing is reinforced with screws. The exterior is a beautiful hand rubbed stain, available in a number of color hues which accent the natural grain of each amp. The baffle board is three-quarter inch Birch plywood, anchored by standard Jensen Vintage Series speakers. A vintage cloth grille cover, leather handles, extra large rubber feet, and a 10 foot power cord finish the pleasing appearance.

Inside the amp, every component is top quality, from the Sprague filter capacitors to the Malory signal caps. Over-sized, single-ended output transformers assure you that you can crank up your DoleSonic without overheating your amp. Standard pre-amp and output tubes are JJ’s, and the tube rectifier is always a NOS USA manufactured tube. Switches and jacks are high quality Switchcraft and Carlton. These components are meticulously hand-wired in a small shop by a real person - no machines, no printed circuit boards, and no mass production.

The cathode bias design allows for a variety of power tube options, and a three way voicing switch kicks in a treble boost, and a power boost. All in all, the flexibility of this amp is one of the features that make it a standout in a world of hand-wired, boutique, Class A tube amps, starting at a price point that won’t break the bank.
